Diamond D Shares "The Diam Piece 2" Cover Art & Guests

Legendary MC/producer Diamond D is preparing to release a follow-up to 2014’s The Diam Piece. The Diggin’ In The Crates co-founder has unveiled the cover art and guests for The Diam Piece 2, which will be released this fall on Dymond Mine Records/EMPIRE.

“I’m very excited about this follow-up to the critically acclaimed Vol. 1 released in 2014,” he told HipHopDX. “Once again, I assembled some of my favorite classic and new MCs and artists to paint pictures over my productions. The only outside producer is D.R.U.G.S Beats, who did one track on the LP.”

The upcoming album features a stacked lineup of contributors, boasting a who’s who of Hip Hop artists.

Guests include Raekwon, Snoop Dogg, Pharoahe Monch, Fat Joe, Styles P, Twista, David Banner, Boot Camp Clik, Grand Puba, O.C. and Havoc, among others.

“Those familiar with the first album already know what to expect: hard crisp productions and lyricism,” Diamond D said. “There will be 16 songs, so I’m currently in the process of trimming it down since well over 25 songs were recorded. It will be available digitally with a limited pressing of the LP on vinyl.”
