Before Rap: Cam'ron Shares Throwback IG With JAY-Z Following B-Sides 2 Concert

New York, NY – JAY-Z and Cam’ron had a historic moment in Hip Hop history during Hov’s B-Sides 2 concert last Friday night (April 26). The two reunited during the show at New York City’s Webster Hall, officially signaling the end of their longtime beef.

Cam crystallized the triumphant affair with a throwback pic of himself and JAY posted up together.

“I could sit here and tell u a million stories (before either one of us had a record) but I’m not,” The Diplomats member captioned it along with the hashtag #UwasntThere.

The sentimental occasion was a long time coming. Cam and JAY’s feud dates back to their time as labelmates at Roc-A-Fella Records and the stabbing of Cam’s former boss Lance “Un” Rivera.

In 2006, Cam detailed his issue with JAY during a press conference at Tribeca Cinemas in lower Manhattan for his movie Killa Season. According to the “Oh Boy” artist, Dame Dash offered him the role of Vice President at Roc-A-Fella Records and JAY-Z put a stop to it. However, Cam allegedly opted not to take on the position since Dame wasn’t able to match his price point of $750,000.

In 2013, Hov addressed Cam with his featured verse on Drake’s Nothing Was The Same track “Pound Cake,” which lists the Dipset rapper as someone JAY helped to make millions.

When Hov brought out Cam for a nostalgic performance of their 2002 joint track “Welcome To New York City” from the Harlem rapper’s chart-topping third studio album Come Home With Me, the sold-out crowd celebrated with applause.

“Nas is my brother, Cam is my brother,” Jigga told the audience.
